First Look: Marvel’s Newest Character ‘Mosaic’ Plays Basketball

Marvel has basketball on the brain. Along with pairing Jeremy Lin and the Hulk, their next superhero, Mosaic, is one of the nicest hoopers in New York. NYC plays a major role in the Marvel Universe, which means Mosaic could have a big impact on things down the line. But before any of that happens, Mosaic’s premiere issue drops in October.

Morris Sackett is a professional basketball player and celebrity. He’s loved by millions and hated by his teammates. But when Morris comes into contact with an Inhuman, he receives the power to jump from person-to-person like a ghost. Morris can control the bodies and memories of those he inhabits. Only these fantastic new abilities come at a grave cost. With his own body destroyed, the one-time superstar athlete must rely on others to survive. Also, he can no longer hoop.

Mosaic will be part of the Inhuman storyline. The Inhumans are possess similar abilities to the X-Men, except that most of the Inhumans aren’t from Earth. Mosaic will be one of them that is.
