Dwyane Wade Disses Mike Bibby

Prior to tonight’s Game 5 between New York and Miami, Dwyane Wade playfully took a dig at Mike Bibby’s declining basketball skills (Wade just hasn’t been very kind to Bibby during this first round series.) Per the Sun-Sentinel: “When asked about Bibby Wednesday, Wade decided to take a verbal jab at his former teammate. ‘We know Mike has made more shots in this series than he made all last year (with the Heat),’ Wade said. ‘Send that to Mike.’ Bibby will start in place of injured point guard Baron Davis for the New York Knicks in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series. Bibby is 5 of 13 from 3-point range during the series, including hitting the go-ahead basket late in the fourth quarter of the Knicks’ Game 4 victory Sunday at Madison Square Garden. Last year Bibby struggled during the Heat’s run to the NBA Finals, shooting just 25 percent (17 of 66) from 3-point range. He and Wade were first linked in the series-opener. When Bibby lost his one shoe in the backcourt during the second quarter, Wade picked it up and tossed it out bounds while play was still going. The Knicks still scored on other end, but Bibby glared at Wade after the incident. ‘I’d never done that before, but it was fun,’ Wade said after the game. ‘I love messing with Mike, with Bibbs.'”
