The Maryland women’s basketball team destroyed visiting Division-II Bluefield State, 146-17, in their exhibition opener on Wednesday.

The Terps, ranked sixth in the Associated Press preseason women’s basketball poll, outscored the Big Blues 72-0 after halftime and forced 51 turnovers in the game.

Maryland freshman Blair Watson led seven Terps in double-figures with 29 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals.

The Terps’ next exhibition opponent? Division-III Mary Baldwin, who didn’t win a game last season. Good luck to the Fighting Squirrels.
