Report: Norm Roberts Out at St. John’s

New York Post’s Lenn Robbins is reporting that current St. John’s head coach Norm Roberts coached his final game with the team last night in a 57-55 loss to Marquette at the Big East Conference Tournament in MSG. From the NY Post: “Multiple highly placed sources — in the athletic department, on the board of trustees and in the booster sector — told The Post that Roberts will not be retained for a seventh season.” Roberts, who went 81-100 in his first six seasons with the program, has been under fire for not winning enough games as well as for not being able to land any of the top New York City recruits such as Sylvan Landesberg, Lance Stephenson and Jayvaughn Pinkston (the last 3 years).
