The search for Fred Hoiberg‘s successor is over. Six days after The Mayor left Ames for the Chicago Bulls, a report by CBS indicates that Iowa State has picked Murray State’s Steve Prohm as its next head coach. Prohm has been the Racers’ head coach for the last four years, and has accrued a successful resume: a 104-29 record with a 54-10 record in the Ohio Valley Conference, an NCAA Tournament appearance, two conference championships and a CIT title in 2013-14. Prior to this, the 40-year-old Prohm was an assistant with the Racers, Tulane, Southeastern Louisiana and Centenary.
