On Saturday and Sunday April 16-17th, Session 1 of the Talented Youth Basketball Association took place. The teams brought the intensity to the first session and fans saw a lot of young hoopers primed for a big season ahead. Around 10-20 colleges had coaches in the building throughout the day providing many of these kids with exposure they don’t usually get during their high school season.

17U/Unsigned Senior Division– Team Vision Blue (KY) & Team Vision White (KY) both lead the standings with an undefeated record of 5-0, while D-1 Elite (KY) 4-1, and BBA Kings (AL) 4-1, are amongst the dark horses after the first session.

16U/10th Grade Division– The first session has this division with 3 teams battling for the top record. Cameron Hoskins All Stars (KY), Ohio Crossover Athletics (OH), and Georgia United (GA) are all 4-1 after the first weekend.

15U/9th Grade Division– Charlotte Court (KY) leaves the first session flawless with a 5-0 record. White Team Vision (KY) is not far behind with a 4-1 record.

2017 Trenton Russell, 6-3, Guard – Team Vision Blue/Magoffin County High School (KY):
Sharpshooter Trenton Russell comes away from Session 1 making 16 three-pointers.

2016 Matt Horton, 6-11, Center – BBA Kings/Paul Bryant High School (AL): 
Arguably the most exciting prospect in the TYBA, the 6-11 center dominated the paint.

2017 Winslow Martin, 6-6, Wing – SI Select/Carbondale High School (IL):
Super athletic wing that finishes high around the rim and can defend four positions.

2017 Brad Geiman, 6-9, Center – Charlotte Court/Campbell County (KY):
Solid big man that rebounds well and has strong post moves around the block.

2017 Stevie Mack, 6-7, Center – Team Vision Blue/New Washington High School (IN):
Strong post player that knows how to use his body down low to score in bunches.

2017 Junathean Cunningham, 6-0, Guard – D1 Elite/Jeffersontown High School (KY):
Super athletic guard that will posterize anyone near the rim.

2017 Eric George, 6-3, Guard – Team Vision White/Valley High School (KY):
Strong guard that can knock down the outside shot and dribble-drive to score.
