Rosters for the 5th Annual Big Strick Classic Revealed

Finalized rosters for the 2015 Big Strick Classic, which annually pits the top players in the tri-state area against the top prospects from around America, were revealed earlier today. Check out all the info below from our friends at Big Strick Classic:

The 5th Annual “Big Strick Classic” Memorial high school basketball game will be held on Saturday, August 8th , 2015 @ Gauchos Gym at 478 Gerard Ave Bronx, New York.

 

The game is a memorial to the legendary streetball player John “Franchise” Strickland, featuring some of the top high school players from around the country, as the USA team, against the top players from the NYC Tri-state area as the NYC team. The admission to the game is free and open to the public.

 

There will be free giveaways for the fans who attend the game. This game is sponsored by Left Hand, Right Hand, LLC, Metal Sales, The Rock Basketball, Anaconda Sports, Inside Streetball, Premierball.com, Facade Technology and SLAM magazine.

 

The day before, Friday, August 7th, 2015, the players will be at the Gauchos Gym, starting at 10:00am. Media will have access to the players at 1:00pm on for a workout and press day, which will be open to the public. That evening, the players will scrimmage starting at 6:00 PM. at Monsignor Kett Park, better known as “Dyckman Park.” The atmosphere will be electric when the top players from around the country invade New York City!!!

 

On Saturday, August 8th, 2015, The doors open at 4:15pm event starts at 5:00pm and admission is FREE. The players will participate in a 3-point shootout followed by a Dunk contest Then, “let the games begin” as Team Armoni faces off against Team Escalade in the Regional matchup game followed by the Main Event, Team USA vs. Team NYC. It promises, as always to be a great event!

 

THE BIG STRICK CLASSIC gives the New York area basketball fan a chance to see these up and coming stars in person. Where were you when Archie Goodwin went up against Kyle Anderson? Now you have to pay to see them play in the NBA! Were you there when Jordan Mickey made the game saving block on Schoochie Smith? Well, he’s on the Celtics now Were you there when Isaiah Briscoe led team NYC to a 50 point fourth quarter to earn the nickname “Must See TV”? Were you there to see Antonio Blakeney and Rawle Alkins hold off Stephen Zimmerman and Dwayne Bacon in a classic 4th quarter duel?
