SLAM x AND1 All-Star Party Recap (PHOTOS)

All-Star Weekend 2015 was a blast. And the highlight, for us, was hosting a small get-together across the street from the Barclays Center on Saturday in partnership with AND1 to celebrate the history of basketball in Brooklyn. SLAM x AND1 hosted media, VIPs, friends and family at a small, carefully curated space at 172 Flatbush, in the shadow of Barclays just hours before the 3-Point Shootout and Dunk Contest got going. Among the attendees were basketball legends Kenny Anderson and Rafer “Skip to My Lou” Alston, as well as Hornets guard and AND1 athlete Lance Stephenson. Rapper Scaff Beezy also made an appearance. Dope music was provided by DJ Sean Malcolm, delicious food was served by Soul Sister Quisine, drinks were poured featuring Given Tequila, and money was raised for Little Essentials. The walls featured some phenomenal Brooklyn bball photography by the likes of Alastair “Geelock” Christopher, Jon Lopez and Tom Medvedich. Gift bags featured AND1 product, the latest issue of SLAM and a signed copy of Heaven is a Playground, provided by another guest of honor, our own Basketball Evangelist Rick Telander (who had taken some of the pics on the wall as well).
