Air Jordan XI ‘Space Jam’

For the past couple years, Jordan Brand has reserved the holidays for a new Air Jordan XI drop. Since 2009, we’ve seen the return of the “Concord,” “Playoffs,” and “Columbia” colorways, as well as an introduction to new colorways.

The last time the “Space Jam” XIs were released was 2009. Quantities were limited and it started a new era for the Brand–retros. The promise of a new XI colorway each year has sneakerheads fiending for December.

Throw in the twentieth anniversary of Space Jam to add to the madness, too. Jordan Brand has been celebrating the film’s big birthday with new clothes and the release of retro “Space Jam” IXs and new “Space Jam” XXXIs. It’s all been leading up to December 10.

The fact that Mike led the Bulls to 72 wins in this silhouette and that this ‘way pretty much got a starring role in Space Jam has put the “Space Jam” XIs in rarefied air. This time around, JB has put premium patent leather around the sneaker’s famous midsole and there’s a 45 on the back heel tab.

These come out on December 10, for $220 on Nike.com.
