Today, Converse launches its The Dark Knight Rises Chuck Taylor All Star Collection, featuring the “Batman” and “Bane” Chucks. The super sneakers arrive just in time for the movie of the same name, which concludes the Batman movie series when it premieres on July 20. Both editions of the shoe will retail at $59.99, and both feature a QR code hidden in the woven label, which can be scanned for exclusive online comic book downloads. These special Converse Chucks are available exclusively nationwide at Journeys stores and at journeys.com.
The release of the “Dark Knight” kicks coincides with Converse’s “Leave Your World, Enter Theirs” microsite and contest, which launches on July 18. Per Converse, “Consumers will be invited to enter the world of DC Comics, where they will have the opportunity to upload a photo of their face, and participate in a digital story of their making.
