Jordan Brand’s Retro Remaster Initiative (PHOTOS)

Last week, we got a behind-the-scenes look from Jordan at the brand’s new Retro Remaster initiative—a plan to remaster a handful of classic Air Jordan silhouettes with upgraded materials and more attention to OG details than ever before.

Among the Jordan Brand big whigs in attendance were Jordan Brand’s Vice President Category Footwear Lead, David Schechter, Footwear Engineering Director Michael Hochdoerffer, and Footwear Product Line Manager Jeff Atienza. The remastered Jordans will begin to hit retail shelves starting January 2015, and that’s about all we know as far as release dates.

We also learned at the Retro Remaster event that we’ve likely seen the end of the Air Jordan III—at least for a while. But you should get your pockets straight for the upcoming release of the “Oreo” IVs, “Columbia” IVs, “Chicago” Xs and the “French Blue” VIIs among others.

Scroll through the photos above to get an inside look at all the materials, colorways and samples that we saw last Thursday, and stay locked to SLAMonline for up-to-date coverage as soon as we learn more about release dates.
