WHAT: Thursday, May 5 marks the official U.S. retail launch of the Jordan Fly Wade, the first signature shoe of basketball star Dwyane Wade with the Jordan Brand and the lightest Jordan basketball shoe to date. To celebrate the nationwide launch of the Jordan Fly Wade, actor/comedian and co-star of Jordan Brand’s Dominate Another Day commercial series, Kevin Hart, will speak with 50 students from Miami South Ridge High School at Miami Dadeland House of Hoops by Foot Locker to offer a behind the scenes look at the latest signature shoe by the Jordan Brand.
Joining Hart in speaking with the youth will be Howard “H” White, Jordan Brand’s Vice President of Sports Marketing. “H,” the author of “Believe to Achieve” will speak to the students about life skills, achieving success on the basketball court as well as preparing for life beyond sports. The Jordan Fly Wade is the lightest Jordan basketball shoe to date and was designed to help today’s best athletes perform at their highest level. The first two colorways of the Jordan Fly Wade will beavailable in the U.S. on Thursday, May 5, 2011, and in China on Saturday, May 7, 2011, for a suggested retail price of $140. In addition, the Jordan Fly Wade will be available for NIKEiD customization on Sunday, May 24, 2011.
