Kicks: Kevin Love’s New Brand

[sg-gallery]

Come tip-off this year, Kevin Love will be adjusting to new teammates (like Derrick Williams and Ricky Rubio) and a new coach in Rick Adelman. Now you can add a new sneaker brand to Love’s list of changes for ’11-12. CounterKicks found photos of KLove’s latest release with a new Chinese company, 361 Degrees. The design is innovative and all about the rebounding monster from Minnesota, right down to the “Love” tattooed on the shoe’s tongue. The rest, via CounterKicks, with pictures courtesy of Ye-Wa:

Brand new, new brand Love.

Minnesota Timberwolves rebounding cyborg Kevin Love recently signed a new endorsement deal with Chinese sportswear brand 361 Degrees, ending his almost two year run with PEAK.

Here’s a first look at the 361 Degrees Kevin Love 1 player exclusive shoe dressed up in ‘Sota colors. The shoe features a midcut height with padded ankle strips, an inner bootie fit system, hidden lacing system, external heel counter, and fin-like heel outsole outrigger. Wavy herringbone takes care of most traction.

361 Degrees joins PEAK, ANTA, and Li-Ning as a lineup of China-based footwear companies who have attracted NBA talent to endorsements and shoe contract. More info to come.

Credit to Love for trying something new. Clearly, he’s not the type to fuss over his kicks. But does his latest footwear pass the eye test?
