TGIF’d over? Probably not. It looks like someone at Nike made an honest mistake and put the Hyperfuse 2011 up a tad early. The late summer release stands and this morning’s post? Let’s just pretend it didn’t happen.
What can we take away from this? Well, we’ve got one new colorway to look at on what’s promising to be a ridiculously popular shoe this year.

Design
Hyperfuse construction on the upper is a composite of three different layers of material fused together using a pressing process to create a nearly seamless upper that is lightweight, breathable and durable. The first layer is made of synthetic underlays strategically placed for support, the second layer is made of single layer mesh for ventilation, and the top layer is made of a thin layer of TPU that is placed in high-wear areas for durability.
Cushioning
Three aspects of impact-resistance are represented in the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011, starting with foam padding in the collar for an enhanced fit in the heel. Second, a high-wrapping injected Phylon midsole is lighter than regular Phylon and extends up the side to supply lightweight cushioning and lateral stability. Finally, the Nike Zoom unit in the forefoot provides low-profile cushioning and lasting comfort under foot.
Support
Confidence in ability depends on confidence in equipment. The Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 has an internal midfoot shank that offers torsional rigidity and support from baseline to baseline. Outriggers on the heel and forefoot combine for lateral stability when making quick cuts and jumps.
