Kobe Bryant may have retired, but his sneakers continue to have a major presence in the League.
Monday night featured a couple of notable pairs from the Nike Kobe collection, led by John Wall and his Nike Kobe XI Elite “Mambacurial.” Wayne Ellington of the Heat wore the “Warrior Spirit” colrway of the XI while Kyle Korver was one of several players to rock the all-black colorway. Out in Toronto, DeMar DeRozan—the NBA’s Kobe king—brought out a new colorway of the recently released Nike Kobe A.D. as he helped lead his Raptors to a win over the 76ers.
Another sneaker making waves Monday night was the Nike Zoom Clear Out. Draymond Green has been wearing the shoe most of the season, but Monday also saw DeMarcus Cousins and Jeremy Lamb wearing fresh colorways of the model. And last, but not least, James Johnson continued to cement his place as one of the L’s more notable sneakerheads as he brought out the Air Jordan XI Retro Low in “White/Varsity Red.”
