Nike KD8 ‘Hunt’s Hill Sunrise’ (KICKS)

Before Kevin Durant could conquer the NBA’s best to become the League’s MVP in 2014, he had to conquer Hunt’s Hill in his childhood hometown of Seat Pleasant, MD. “The Hill”, located near the rec center and KD’s grandmother’s house, provided the perennial All-Star with a challenge every day growing up. His coach, Taras “Stink” Brown, would help him climb the hill to build up his mental toughness that would eventually propel him a full basketball scholarship at the University of Texas, the No. 2 overall pick in 2007 NBA Draft and of course, an MVP trophy. The KD8 colorway that commemorates that hill are dropping on August 1 at Nike.com and select retailers. Scroll through our photos above to get a closer look at the new model.
