Nike KD9 ‘Birds of Paradise’

Kevin Durant recently went on a trip to China with Nike and his designer, Leo Chang. The goal of the trip was to expand KD’s point of view and gain a new appreciation of the world.

That trip produced the KD9 “Birds of Paradise” colorway. The Birds of Paradise can be found in Asia and Australia. There are 42 birds in the species. Some people refer to them as a reminder of the dinosaurs.

The birds are brightly colored and are known to dance around the ground and jump from tree to tree.

Taking its cue from the birds, the newest KD9 colorway has green and teal coloring on the flyknit. It sits on top of a teal airbag and white outsole.

Check out pictures of the KD9 up top. Pick up your pair on August 19 for $150 at Nike.com.
