Nike designer Tobie Hatfield has created a new footwear system to help athletes of all abilities and ages perform better: the Nike FLYEASE.
Tobie spent a particularly long time—three years, to be exact—developing these kicks, which are intended to make it easier for people who struggle getting in and out of shoes and securing them.
The FLYEASE consists of a wrap-around zipper that opens the back of the shoe. This feature makes the process of sliding the foot in and out more simple. Still, the shoe provides sufficient lockdown while eliminating the need for traditional laces. The full story behind the new system is pretty inspiring:
