This past Wednesday (February 29), Nike invited the people of London to take advantage of the Leap Year’s extra day and ‘Make It Count’ in a three-on-three event held next to the iconic London Eye.
The three-on-three was part of a series of events, all part of the #makeitcount campaign, that saw the pods of the London Eye host exercise classes and 300 people join a flash run at NikeTown London.
Overlooked by Big Ben and playing on a slick black and green halfcourt on the roof of the London Aquarium (literally on top of the shark tank…), teams featuring some of the UK’s best streetballers battled it out for the Make It Count crown—with the Midnight Madness team taking the title.
It was very cool to see an event like this go down in London, so a big shout out to Nike, London School of Basketball, Midnight Madness, MVP and Hoopsfix for putting on a show.—Ben Taylor / @benitaylor
