WATCH: Kristaps Porzingis Torches Pistons For Career-High 35 Points

When the Knicks drafted Kristaps Porzingis No. 2 overall in 2015, KP was welcomed with boos and scrutiny. A year and change into his career and Porzingis is shaping up to be a bonafide star.

Last night against the Pistons, the 7-3 big man dropped a career-high 35 points to go along with 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block.

“”It was just happening, and a lot of stuff that I worked on during the summer came out,” Porzingis told ESPN after the game..

Still raw, Porzingis is putting things together at a rapid pace. His new teammates are starting to figure out why Kevin Durant called the big man a “unicorn” last season:”

“He’s figuring everything out,” Derrick Rose said. “Like, he’s going out here scoring 30 and he really don’t know the NBA yet.”
