Chris Paul Drops 26 Points and 12 Assists on the Heat (VIDEO)

Behind Chris Paul’s big night (26/12), the LA Clippers put together their best effort of the season Thursday night in Miami, beating the short-handed Heat 110-93.

The Clips dished out a season-high 31 assists, and Lob City was once again in full effect.

Head coach Doc Rivers was thrilled with his team’s play.

Per the OC Register:

After his team lost Monday to the Chicago Bulls, Coach Doc Rivers said the opposition played “beautiful” basketball, and you didn’t have to strain your ears to hear the envy in his voice.

Thursday, he bestowed the same compliment on his team. […] “I just thought the ball movement in the first quarter was beautiful,” he said. “It’s hard to guard that. I try to tell our guys, ‘Some guy’s going to score.’ It’s amazing. We’re starting to find our way, you can see that.”

Paul and (Blake) Griffin led the Clippers with 26 points each, with Paul dishing out 12 assists and Griffin picking up three steals. (DeAndre) Jordan scored 12 points on 6-of-6 shooting – all dunks – to complement his 11 rebounds. […] “I thought we put it together for pretty much all four quarters,” Griffin said. “At times, we got a little sloppy, but tonight, we built upon what we did last night. That’s promising. That’s what we need to do every time out.”
