D’Angelo Russell finished Summer League strong on Friday, scoring 21 points on 10-20 shooting with 4 rebounds in 34 minutes. In his previous four contests, the 2015 No. 2 pick had some very underwhelming averages of 9.5 points on 31.7 percent shooting and 5.8 turnovers.

Although the Lakers prized rookie finished on a high note, L.A. finished 1-4 in Vegas. Russell said he was playing “nonchalant” at times and needed to be more assertive.
