Darko Milicic Loses Kickboxing Debut, Says, ‘I’m Invincible’ (VIDEO)

NBA super bust Darko Milicic has taken up kickboxing, and we have video of his first fight in Novi Sad, Serbia on Thursday. Victory was not to be for the former No. 2 pick, as Darko ended up with a nasty gash in his shin (3:35 mark), and the fight had to be stopped.

From the Associated Press:

The 29-year-old Milicic sustained a bloody cut on his left leg in the first round of an exhibition match against Serbian fighter Radovan Radojcic on Thursday night. The World Kickboxing Association bout had to be stopped in the second round, on doctor’s orders.

“The next time, it will be better,” Milicic said. “I’m invincible.”

The Pistons bypassed Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, among others, to take Milicic with the second pick in 2003. The team then went on to win the 2004 NBA title.
