DeAndre Jordan Rises for Monster Alley-Oop Finish (VIDEO)

Chris Paul found a rolling DeAndre Jordan for one of his typically absurd high-flying finishes Sunday, as the visiting Clippers routed the Boston Celtics 119-106.

Blake Griffin also got in on the action, pirouetting for an amazing block on Jonas Jerebko.

The Celtics’ quest for a Playoff spot is looking shaky.

Per the Boston Herald:

Last night, the Clippers outscored the hosts, 34-20, in the first quarter and continued piling on the combinations. […] “It needs to change,” (Isaiah) Thomas said. “We have to be the team that punches first and doesn’t just get hit first. They hit us first, and then it was all she wrote after that. I can’t put a finger on it. I don’t think we’re tired. It’s just something that needs to change. We’re waiting to get hit, and then it’s tough for us to get back in it. I feel like we had open shots. The key was their height. When they don’t fall, you have to remain confident, but you also have to adjust.”

The loss dropped the Celtics out of the Eastern Conference’s No. 8 playoff seed, a half-game behind the Brooklyn Nets, who beat the Lakers yesterday. Also, the Celtics are now a mere half-game ahead of Charlotte and Indiana. […] Though the C’s have gone 8-1 on the second night of their past nine back-to-back swings, tonight’s game in Charlotte, N.C., might be the most significant Celtics-Hornets game on record.

The Clippers, big and athletic on the inside with significant 3-point ability to complement that power, boast every attribute that has haunted the Celtics this season. From J.J. Redick’s five 3-pointers on his way to 27 points to the Clippers’ overpowering 53-40 rebounding edge, it was the matchup from hell for the Celts. […] The Celtics never threatened, though Gigi Datome had two 3-pointers and 12 points to help a fourth-quarter rally.
