DeMarcus Cousins Bounces in Game-Winner to Beat Phoenix (VIDEO)

The Phoenix Suns are in a desperate fight with the New Orleans Pelicans and OKC Thunder for the final Playoff spot in the Western Conference, but their quest appears to be star-crossed.

They’ve now lost four times at the buzzer, the latest heartbreaker taking place Sunday night in Sacramento.

Kings All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins’ leaner bounced on the rim five times before dropping through, giving his team a dramatic 85-83 victory.

Per the SacBee:

The Kings had lost three in a row and 11 of their last 12. […] The Kings had been up by 73-59 after three quarters, but were outscored 24-12 in the fourth quarter, only to be saved by Cousins’ shot from 19 feet over Markieff Morris.

“We needed it bad,” Cousins said. “Uplifted these guys in the locker room. We’ve been through a lot this past month. So we definitely needed it.”

The Kings have also played with the speculation George Karl will be hired soon to replace coach Tyrone Corbin, the Kings’ second coaching change this season. […] “Our guys have been on the edge,” Corbin said. “When you don’t play your best game, and you lose games, and you’re hearing all kinds of talk about what’s goign to happen – well I told these guys that the only thing you can control is your play on the floor.”
