Future Plans

by Justin Walsh

Today, Michael Snaer (ranked 11th on Rivals) will announce his commitment to either FSU, KU or Marquette. Let’s run through what the 6-4 guard would mean for each team.

Kansas: Currently KU only has two recruits for 2009, including point guard Elijah Johnson. If they can snag Michael Snaer, that start a domino effect for KU, continuing with the possible commits of John Wall, Lance Stephenson, Xavier Henry and Dominic Cheek. It’s doubtful KU can get all, but if Michael signs, they might be able to sign two of the remaining four highly touted guards.

Florida State: FSU has just one 2009 commit, so Michael Snaer would be a big boost for the Seminoles. Signing Michael might also convince Derrick Favors to follow suit. Marcus Jordan (Michael’s younger son) is also a possible addition to the Seminole cast.

Marquette: The Golden Eagles already have a very deep recruiting class in 2009, with three ESPNU Top 100 recruits: Junior Cadougan, Jeronne Maymon and Erik Williams. Adding Michael would be the cherry-on-top for Marquette.
