LeBron James Dominates Against the Wizards (VIDEO)

With revenge on their minds Wednesday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers pounded the visiting Washington Wizards 113-87.

LeBron James pulled off a near triple-double with 29 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists.

Kyrie Irving also played tough defense — as promised — on John Wall (limiting the All-Star point guard to a measly six points.)

Per the NOMG:

“We just came out aggressive. Like I said, (Friday) they did whatever they wanted to and we showed no resistance,” LeBron James said.

Wall couldn’t shake free. The driving lanes were nonexistent and if he did get a step on Irving, help was in its proper rotations, cutting off any clear paths to the basket. Wall was held to six points in 32 minutes. Irving finished with 18 points and five assists in 32 minutes. […] “Just having a physical mindset,” Irving said. “We definitely wanted set the tone defensively. They were allowed to get physical with us in Washington so we definitely wanted to set a tone early in the game and I think we did that.”

“John Wall is a great basketball player and he’s not an easy guy to stop night after night,” head coach David Blatt said. “I thought Kyrie, once again, did a terrific job and more importantly the team did a really good job of swarming and not giving him gaps and lanes to get to the rim or to find a lot of open looks.”
