After taking down the visiting Chicago Bulls 99-94 on Easter Sunday, the Cleveland Cavaliers have now won 18 in a row on their home floor.

LeBron James registered his first triple-double of the season with 20 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds in the victory.

The basketball Gods were definitely on Cleveland’s side, as J.R. Smith and Kyrie Irving tossed in a couple of impossible buzzer-beaters.

It was the Cavs’ 50th win, and improved them to an NBA-best 31-7 record since Jan. 15.

Per the AP:

Irving casually dropped a 52-foot 3-pointer, J.R. Smith made eight 3s ā€” highlighted by a desperation one to end the first half ā€” and James recorded his first triple-double with the Cavs in five years as Cleveland won its 18th straight at home, 99-94 over the Chicago Bulls. […] The Cavs made 16 3-pointers, three as time was draining from either the game or shot clock.

Irving scored 27 points, but it was his dramatic shot in the third quarter that helped the Cavs move closer to a Central Division title and securing the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. […] “It was a crazy play,” he said. “Luckily it went in. There was no skill there. I was just throwing it up at the rim and hopefully it goes in.”

“Some I thought were defended well, some weren’t,” Chicago coach Tom Thibodeau said. “They had three heaves that went in.”
