In light of Allen Iverson’s recent election into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, the Philadelphia 76ers held a ceremony for AI before Friday’s tilt with the Knicks.
Iverson returned to his old stomping grounds where he was met with a standing ovation from the crowd.
At the media presser before the ceremony, Iverson joked about the “practice” rant before getting very emotional, thanking his family, his fans, the 76ers organization and more for helping him get to the Hall.
AI will be inducted on September 9.
