Pistons Assistant Coach Tim Hardaway Suspended 3 Games For DUI

The NBA announced a three-game suspension of Detroit Pistons assistant coach Tim Hardaway, after Hardaway pled no contest to a drunken driving charge.

The 50-year-old was pulled over around midnight on April 23 after police spotted him speeding outside of Detroit.

His blood-alcohol content was 0.17%, more than double the legal limit.

NEW YORK — Detroit Pistons’ assistant coach Tim Hardaway has been suspended for three games for pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated with an excessive blood alcohol level, in violation of the law of the State of Michigan, the NBA announced today.

 

Hardaway will be suspended for the first three games of the 2016-17 NBA regular season.
