Rajon Rondo Says Relationship With George Karl ‘Not Going Too Well’

The Sacramento Kings are 4-1 in the preseason, but there may trouble brewing between free agent point guard signee Rajon Rondo and head coach George Karl.

Rondo couldn’t get along with Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle last season, bringing a quick and disastrous end to his time in Dallas.

According to the fiery guard, who has been splitting minutes with Darren Collison, there have been a few tense moments of late between him and Karl.

Per Cowbell Kingdom (via PBT):

This was Rajon Rondo back in July, talking about his relationship with Sacramento Kings coach George Karl: “I think it’s a great fit. So far. We haven’t played any games, coach Karl hasn’t kicked me out of any practices yet, so we will see how it goes.”

“It’s not been going too well,” Rondo said Tuesday. “We got into a couple arguments the last couple of days. Hopefully, we continue to talk, and it will get better.”
