Last summer, SLAM publisher Dennis Page was invited to Portland to speak to some Nike employees about football and the NFL—in advance of Nike being the on-field sponsor of the NFL this season and our starting of a football website, TDdaily, which Nike served as the launch sponsor of. To intro DP, we ran a little video of our “Greatest Hits”—some of the covers that have made our mag so iconic to basketball fans.
