The start of the 1996 Draft shook out like this:

1: Allen Iverson, Sixers
2: Marcus Camby, Raptors
3: Shareef Abur-Rahim, Grizzlies
4: Stephon Marbury, Timberwolves
5: Ray Allen, Bucks
6: Antoine Walker, Celtics

Kobe Bryant, Peja Stojakovic, Steve Nash, Jermaine O’Neal and more were picked that summer, too, in one of the League’s truly great drafts. (It went on to inspire all of this.)

Early in the ensuing season, AI and Starbury faced off in a heavily-hyped duel. Both rookie guards shined—as did Kevin Garnett—and the game was tied at 100 late. I won’t reveal any spoilers beyond that.
