After two games at City of Palms Austin Rivers has 70 points, including a 42-point performance last night against Dwyer. Rivers is well on his way to a third straight tournament MVP award, as Doc’s son surpassed Lance Stephenson as the Classic’s third all-time leading scorer with 305 points. Kenny Boynton, now a sophomore at Florida, is the leader with 406. Fourth-seeded Winter Park plays top seed Milton tonight at 7 p.m. in hopes of advancing to their second straight championship game. Milton is Georgia’s defending state champion and began the season as USA Today’s No. 1 team nationally.
