A clearly frustrated Kobe Bryant attempted to halt yet another Nuggets fastbreak last night, by clobbering high-flying forward Kenneth Faried. The rook looked momentarily out of it after the hit, quite understandably. The Denver Post got reactions from both Bryant and Faried: “Question: Did Bryant go for the ball and the block at all? ‘No,’ Faried replied. ‘He was mad. Their team was frustrated.’ [...] ‘I was genuinely trying to swipe at the ball as it was going up,’ Bryant said. ‘It was unfortuante I hit him in the head. Nothing was intentional. I was just tyring to make a play on the ball.’”
