WATCH: Documentary Follows 44-Year-Old’s Journey to First Dunk Contest

The definition of obsession is “an idea that continually preoccupies or intrudes on a person’s mind.”

For as long as I can remember, my brother Andy Nicholson has been obsessed in the truest sense of the word with jumping, dunking, and basketball.

And like any obsession there have been positive and negative repercussions.

The negative: When his basketball dreams didn’t come true, he spent years searching for ways to fulfill those unmet athletic aspirations.

The positive: Putting those unmet aspirations towards another hoop dream of qualifying for his fist dunk contest at age 44 and in doing so pushing his body to its physical limits.

Allow me to introduce my brother, also known as @overthehilldunker, who just might be the only guy his age (44) and height (5-11) training to compete in a dunk contest.

Full trailer and documentary of his dunking journey coming soon—for now, check the teaser above.
