Dwight Howard left Staples Center a loser Sunday night, and Laker fans were all over him following Los Angeles’ 109-94 win against the Atlanta Hawks.

One fan in particular called Dwight a “bitch”, infuriating the big fella, who dared the heckler to say it to his face (cooler heads eventually prevailed.)

Howard finished with 19 points, 9 rebounds and a pair of blocks in the loss.

Per the OC Register:

In his sixth game against as a visitor against the Lakers since he bolted in 2013, Howard, now of the Atlanta Hawks, claimed not to hear the cacophony directed at him. How could he not notice the boos or that each of his emphatic dunks turned them to grumbles?

“Close my ears,” he said.

“He’s not a villain,” said Lakers guard Lou Williams, who has played against Howard since they were both Atlanta-area prep stars. “I think that’s just fans. When things don’t pan out the way you want them to, especially with the caliber of his talent, fans are going to try to find something to hold onto.”
