Anthony Davis Wants to ‘Shut Kobe Down’

Anthony Davis, more than likely this year’s top NBA draft pick, doesn’t lack in self-confidence. To say the least. The soon-to-be New Orleans Hornets big man claims (granted, in somewhat of a joking manner) that he’s looking forward to guarding Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant next season. From the Dan Patrick Show (via the LA Times): “[Kobe]’s a monster. So I just want to go out there and play my hardest,’ Davis said. ‘There’s a lot of guys that can’t stop Kobe. So if I stop him I could be one of the guys that say, ‘I shut Kobe down’. […] ‘Be careful what you ask for Anthony,’ Patrick told the former Kentucky standout. ‘He listens to the show and he has a great memory.’ Retorted Anthony: ‘Tell him, I’ll be waiting.'”
