At the beginning of the 2015-16 NBA season, if you would have predicted the Pistons would beat out perennial playoff teams like the Wizards and Bulls—or even the upstart Bucks and Carmelo-led Knicks—for a spot in the postseason, you might have been laughed at. But with point guard Reggie Jackson running the show, Detroit is rolling into the playoffs.

In three games over the last week, the Pistons went 2-1 with Jackson posting averages of 28 points, 5.3 assists and 3.3 rebounds while shooting 42 percent from three-point range and turning the ball over fewer than three times a night. On Friday, the 25-year-old busted out for 39 points and 9 dimes against the Wizards—Detroit’s direct competition for a playoff bid in the East. Peep his highlights from that game in the video above.
