Boris Diaw Out 3-4 Weeks After Back Surgery

The San Antonio Spurs announced today that reserve forward Boris Diaw will be out of action for up to a month, after undergoing what sounds like a not-so-fun procedure: “The San Antonio Spurs today announced that forward Boris Diaw had a synovial cyst excised from his lumbar spine. The surgery was performed Thursday in San Antonio. Diaw is expected to miss three-to-four weeks. Diaw has appeared in 75 games this season for the Spurs, averaging 5.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 22.8 minutes.”
