Brandon Bass May Require Knee Surgery

Bass says he might have to go under the knife if his knee doesn’t improve. From the Orlando Sentinel: “I might need to get it scoped, be out a few weeks,’ Bass said. ‘I don’t know. We’ll see.’ Bass said he came down on his left knee in the second quarter of the game against the New York Knicks on Thursday night and ‘heard a pop.’ Bass said his knee has been sore and has been swelling since then. He has missed the last two practices, sitting out Friday and Sunday. Bass, 25. said he has undergone an MRI and could determine after Monday morning’s shootaround whether he might need surgery. Bass has started 10 of the 11 past 11 games. He has essentially inherited the power-forward position since the Magic traded Rashard Lewis to the Washington Wizards.”
