Bucks GM: No Truth to Andrew Bogut Trade Rumors

Milwaukee says that center Andrew Bogut isn’t on the trading block, no matter what anyone else may try to tell you. From the Journal-Sentinel: “Bucks general manager John Hammond told me a few minutes ago that trade rumors circulating about center Andrew Bogut are not accurate. ‘There’s no truth to any of these false rumors that have been reported,’ Hammond said. One report said the Bucks were considering a deal that would send Bogut and their No. 10 pick in Thursday’s draft to Minnesota for the No. 2 overall pick. Hammond said the Bucks ‘have not’ talked with the Timberwolves about a deal. It’s worth noting that Bogut was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2005 draft. And while the 7-foot center was limited while recovering from major injuries to his right hand and right elbow last season, he continued to anchor the Bucks defense. Bogut has three years and nearly $39.5 million remaining on a five-year, $60 million contract extension he signed in the summer of 2008.”
