Bulls Announce Derrick Rose Will Undergo Surgery For Torn Meniscus

Say it ain’t so, Derrick Rose. The Bulls have announced that the former MVP point guard needs another knee surgery—this time for a torn meniscus in his right knee. Chicago is currently 36-21 and No. 3 in the Eastern Conference standings. From all of us at SLAM, get well soon, Derrick.

Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose has a torn meniscus in his right knee and will undergo surgery, the team said Tuesday.

 

Rose reported earlier in the day with right knee pain. An exam and subsequent MRI confirmed the tear.

 

A timetable for Rose’s return will be determined once he has surgery, the team said.
