Bulls Thinking of Sitting Injured Joakim Noah?

The injury bug has hit the Bulls of late, and the latest victim could be Joakim Noah. Reports the Chicago Tribune: “Privately, Joakim Noah has been battling bruised tendons in his right hand, which keeps getting whacked and thus can’t heal. Team sources told the Tribune management has had internal discussions about sitting Noah, although the center traveled to Toronto and is scheduled to play Wednesday against the Raptors when the Bulls vie for their seventh straight victory. As for [Derrick] Rose, it appears time to add ‘quick healer’ to his long list of accomplishments this season. One day after flipping over the Pacers’ Brandon Rush on a drive, not to mention tweaking his left ankle, Rose vowed to play … Noah wasn’t on the Berto Center court when reporters were granted access but he has been playing with a taped hand off and on since first getting whacked earlier this month. Noah and Rose have been sharing a catch phrase of ‘mind over matter’ to deal with their respective injuries, but Noah’s isn’t getting better. ‘If someone can’t go, the next guy steps up and gets the job done,’ [Tom] Thibodeau said.”
