UPDATE: Child Dies from Fall at Lakers/Warriors Game

NBC Los Angeles has the terrible details: “A boy died after a fall from a luxury suite Sunday following the Lakers’ game against the Golden State Warriors at Staples Center, a police spokesman said. The boy, believed to be 2-3 years old, fell an from a luxury suite into the lower bowl — a fall of as much as 50 feet. Witnesses told the LA Times the boy was moving his arms and legs when he was placed on a stretcher. He was taken to USC Medical Center, where he died, Sgt. Frank Alvelais said.”

A fall by a young boy from a luxury suite marred the dominant Laker victory last night at Staples Center. The Daily News reports: “A young boy, believed to be between 2 and 5 years old, fell from a luxury suite into the lower seating bowl at Staples Center following the conclusion of Sunday’s Lakers game against Golden State, tumbling into the lower bowl. The boy was moving his extremities according to a witness as he was taken from the venue to an undisclosed hospital, according to City News Service. His condition was not available.”
