Chris Copeland to Sign With the Indiana Pacers for $6 Million

With the New York Knicks having chosen to bring back Pablo Prigioni, there wasn’t enough money left over to secure restricted free agent forward Chris Copeland. So, the Indiana Pacers pounced and reached an agreement on a two-year, $6.1 million deal. Per Yahoo! Sports: “Copeland is a restricted free agent, but the Knicks are unable to match the offer sheet. Copeland, 29, averaged 8.7 points and 2.1 rebounds for the Knicks last season. He made 42.1 percent of his 3-point attempts.”
