Darko Milicic Waived By the Minnesota Timberwolves

The immortal Darko Milicic, the number two overall NBA Draft pick in 2003 (word to Joe Dumars!), is currently unemployed. The Timberwolves released Darko via the amnesty clause today. Per the Star Tribune: “The one-time amnesty provision allows a team to waive a player and not have his salary count against the salary cap or luxury tax. Milicic spent parts of three seasons as Minnesota’s starting center, averaging 7.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks over 122 games, including 110 starts with the Wolves.”
