DeMar DeRozan Hosts Jr. Drew League Camp (PHOTOS)

Prior to scoring 31 points in MHP’s double-overtime win at the buzzer courtesy of Swaggy P in Week 11 of the Drew League, Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan spent his Saturday morning leading boys and girls at the Jr. Drew League camp at King Drew Medical Magnet HS in Watts, CA.

The annual camp gives kids around the community an opportunity to showcase their skills and work on their game with various dribbling, agility and shooting stations all while getting insight from DeRozan.

DeRozan, a Compton native, reflected on his days as a youth attending similar camps and returns back to the city to be a role model and voice for the community.

“I’m just coming back and trying to be an inspiration to them,” DeRozan said. “[I’m also] trying to show them it’s a way out.”
