Doc Rivers Fined $25,000 For Criticizing Officials After Clippers’ Game 5 Loss

The NBA has fined Doc Rivers $25,000 for his comments during Game 5’s post-game press conference. Rivers criticized the officials for a reversed out-of-bounds call—saying “we got robbed,” among other not-so-friendly things, so the fine is of no surprise. In actuality, though, the fine seems relatively minor considering what Rivers said and the magnitude of the game. Check out the League’s full press release:

Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers has been fined $25,000 for public criticism of the officiating, it was announced today by Rod Thorn, President, Basketball Operations.

Rivers made his comments in the postgame press conference following the Clippers’ 105-104 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on May 13, at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
