Doc Rivers Says Clippers Aren’t Trading Jamal Crawford

Jamal Crawford is 35 years old and will be a free agent next summer. The Clippers have an overload of scoring guards of the bench, with Crawford, Austin Rivers and Lance Stephenson all on LA’s roster. Logically, it’s not a leap to think the Clippers might want to move Crawford.

The Knicks were reportedly interested, as would several other teams if he were made known to be available. But according to Clippers head coach Doc Rivers, Crawford isn’t going anywhere. In a radio interview yesterday, Rivers went on record that the Clippers have no intention of trading J-Crossover.

“I’ve heard all the rumors about Jamal going other places,” Rivers said via CBS Sports. “Jamal’s a Clipper and I would be very surprised if he’s not a Clipper by the season’s end.”
